Sol y Rumba has been the sound of Latin celebration in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area for over 30 years. Founded by singer-songwriter María Isolina, the band evolved from its earlier incarnation as Latin Rhythms into Sol y Rumba in 1993, growing into one of the region's most sought-after Latin ensembles.
Our musicians bring an impressive collective pedigree to every performance. Sol y Rumba has shared the stage with comedy legend George Lopez, performed at the grand opening of Cristina Saralegui's furniture line, and had the honor of performing at former President Barack Obama's inaugural ball.
